Joie’s Encore Spinning System includes the i-Base Encore, a 360º spinning base, and three car seat options, allowing parents to choose their preferred convenience and travel experience.

If you’re a parent who sees value in using a baby car seat for the first 12+ months of your child’s life before switching to a toddler car seat, the Encore Spinning System is beneficial in that you won’t need to purchase a separate base to pair with your toddler car seat. The i-Base Encore you’ll use with your selected baby seat will also pair with your next-stage seat, saving you time and money.

Why are there three different car seats if i-Harbour can grow from birth to age four?

Every parent is different, and we want a system that makes sense for multiple preferences and lifestyles, so we’ve provided three different car seat solutions that work for different ages and serve unique purposes.

The i-Level Recline is a popular car seat amongst parents of newborns because it provides a convenient, ergonomic, safe, and comfortable place for babies to travel by car or pushchair in a 157º recline, making it easy to get around without disturbing your baby for the first 12+ months. Plus, when paired with the i-Base Encore, the i-Level Recline spins 90º towards the back passenger door for more accessible transport in and out of the vehicle.

For the parents who are just as serious about traveling as they are about safety, we developed the calmi R129, a 180º lie-flat car cot to ensure babies would be in the flattest possible position, to aid in safer sleeping in the car, pushchair, or in the house after a long day. As a baby gets older, it becomes increasingly difficult to transport them in and out of the car, so calmi R129 maxes out at approximately six months, making transitions to their next-stage toddler car seat appropriately timed as they begin to pack on the kgs.

Infant carriers aren’t for everyone, and some parents like to go straight to the “growing” seats, like the i-Harbour, which grows from birth to age four – saving you money over four years while still giving you the benefit of a 360º spinning car seat.
